Sure Short Ways to Improve Study Skills

In this article I will provide you some skills which will surely improve your study skills.

First of all what you have to do is setting up a study environment.
Set up something that is comfortable for your studies.
Everybody works in a different environment.

Now when you are done with the study plan the next step you have to do is preparation of a study plan. Prepare a study routine and stick to it.
Also in the time talbe keep some time like two hours for the revision of what you have done in the whole day. When the test time will come close you will feel relaxed and there will be no stress and tension.

Learning everything with good planning will limit the amount of further study time needed. If your regular concentration is for 45 minutes then you should study for only 45 minutes and then relax for around 5 minutes.
Studying in small chunks will not pressurize your mind.

For learning long lists, use mnemonics. Make funny and interesting sentences.
This is speed list learning and learning of long lists will take less time.
Memorize those pictures and you will never forget what you have learned.
The main advantage is that you will never forget these things.

Successful Study Tips – Thinking Outside the Box!

The Whole Enchilada! Do you look at the big picture first, or do you head straight for the details? Sometimes learning something is easier if you get the big picture first and then go back to fill in the details.

Stick to the schedule! It is only necessary to tell yourself you will set aside 2 hours on that day to review your subject.

This might be as simple and using yellow note paper for Chapter 3 and blue paper for Chapter 4, or simply marking various sections of the text in blue or yellow highlighter.

For example, say a vocabulary word, let the tape run blank for 15 or 20 seconds, and then record the answer.

Check Please! Create a check list of terms, but don’t include the answers.
This will help you determine what you still need to learn.

All Hands on Deck! Always read with a pen or pencil in your hand and a notebook nearby.

Take 5 minutes after class to review the day’s notes.

Walk the Walk and Talk the Talk! Get a white board (or chalk board) for your room and hang it on the wall.
Talk yourself through the material but do the work aloud! Studying silently doesn’t prove that you know your stuff!

The single best way to know how best to perform in a teacher’s class is to ask previous students.
It doesn’t matter how objective they claim to be, each teacher has their own private pecking order on things they find important.
Think of it as market research.
Ask these previous students what they wished they knew about the class before they took it.

Learn How Things Are Weighted
Once you understand your environment, it’s time to understand the rules of engagement. Focus your most energies on the top 80%.
Way too many students just haphazardly study, omitting their targets.

These tips may not seem like study tips. They will go a long way toward ensuring your success.

Find a secluded place with absolutely no TV, radio, friends, drinks, food, video games, etc. And if your friends are at the library, find a private room or cube to get away.
